The rally seemed like a big turnout. On the other hand, Quebec has had a tutition freeze since 1994. That's insane, and I don't see how that helps with keeping their universities competitive.[0]

Newly elected in Markham, Michael Chan is sworn in as Revenue Minister. The general feeling is that he's just trying to appease voters.[0]
He will be running as a Liberal in what is said to be one of the nation's poorest ridings. Will he be a renewed source for national unity?[1]

They recommend a new Mixed Member Proportional system. A referendum will be held regarding this recommendation in conjunction with the next general election on October 10.[0]
Dalton McGuinty releases this website to show his softer side-- a sure sign that the campaigning is so to begin. Viewing the website is like seeing the movie, The Notebook-- it's overly mushy and tries to appeal to my emotions. He also talks about the many 'trimphs' the Liberal party has undertook while in office.[1]
"Here, if MMP were adopted as our electoral system, one could easily envisage the emergence of parties based on ethnicity or on geography." Would that be so horrible? Even so, I don't think any radical party would ever gain more than a handful of seats.[1]
This largely unspoken topic is ironically the most important decision for voters for this election season.[4]
Is this considered cybersquatting? I can't believe Dalton McGuinty did not register his own domain name, and opted only for dalton.ca![1]
I feel bad for John Tory. In terms of leadership, I think Tory trumps McGuinty.[1]
Numerous debates were held in the Chinese media during this election, all of which were plain bickering between Liberal Chan and PC Li. One big snoozer.[0]
It's disappointing, but oh well. Is Referendum Ontario really to blame, as what people are saying? If you were mailed a voter card, voters would've known about the referendum issue. There were also continuous TV, internet, and newspaper ads. The guilty are the politicians and the news media.[0]
I'm not liking Dion; the Throne Speech was just unnacceptable.[2]
Michael Chan is named the new Minister of Citizenship and Immigration.[0]
"Harper may be Toronto-born, but he surely isn't Toronto-bred. He has lived in cities, but certainly disconnected from the currents that underpin urban life."[0]
A Russian social science professor's prediction of how the us will eventually split. It's interesting, but I'd like to fully understand the science behind this prediction.[0]
Poor John Tory. I have great respect for him, and it's sad to see that his leadership is now on the chopping block.[0]
