There has been more coverage lately about the expanding Scarborough's rapid transit-- and rightly so.[1]

Toronto's 2005 commute averaged 79 minutes a day. Sadly, my commute is just shy of 79 minutes, one-way![0]
I instituted this change. Haha, It's miniscule in the grand scheme of things but still! See how these little things get me excited?[0]
There is now an unprecedented, um, one air conditioned streetcar in the system. About 100 CLRV's are due for retrofitted A/C units.[0]

As much as it would definitely loosen the load on the city's budget, it's highly unlikely to happen. There is no incentive for the province to operate the TTC. If they had the inclination, it would've already been mandated by the Greater Toronto Transportation Authority-- which it hasn't. As for transferring subway operations (only) to the province-- it would just sever the seamless connections between subway and surface routes.[0]

This is pretty great. Though I believe VIA already provides this service.[0]
There's road rage, then there's transit rage.[1]
While transit investment most always welcome, it would certainly be difficult to recover from the Detroit's transit glory days in the 1950s.[0]
