Radiant City: A documentary about suburban sprawl

Another "green" documentary coming to a theatre near you. The "Radiant City" was envisioned by modernist architect Le Corbusier [via blogTO]

I liked the movie until the "ending"... I think they should have taken out the last 10-15 minutes where they have the actors explain why they are in the movie. It'd help if they just publicize it as a mockumentary instead of a documentary.

I saw this at the Toronto International Film Festival last fall. I didn't really see the ending coming either but thought it was pretty clever (ties in with the whole illusion aspect with urban sprawl). Definitely worth checking out =)

Shima, why would you ruin the film for everyone that hasn't seen it? I liked it. The ending is the best part.

The story is a good one, but they take any credibility the story has away with the way they ended it. I also didn't like the fact that they thought the audience was stupid. By the time the parents came home and saw what had happened, it was clear that it was a mockumentary. There was no need to spend the next 15 minutes explaining what had happened.

And I'm sorry I ruined it. Matt, you're more than welcome to erase my earlier comment. I just think if they're going to leave the ending in, they need to re-brand the movie. I felt like I was mislead. Was that their intentions? Perhaps.

Interesting stuff.

I am going to watch it anyways :)
I should support the green documentaries (or mockumentaries) so that filmmakers will make more, and continue the preaching.
