Waiting for North York of Mel's dreams

James believes the city should retain the undeveloped lands in North York Centre as a hub for office use, rather than have it rezoned for further condominium development. I agree, but office development is not in high demand in this area.

why is office development not high in this area? I was always under the impression that OP policies are vision-based not market based.
although it is north york after all. I love north york. I would love to work in it. I was so jealous when you got to work at NY centre.

I think its just indicative of the larger scope of the problem. Its not North York Centre that has a lack of Office and Commercial uses, its the entire City. It doesn't matter that North York Centre is on two subway lines since the subway doesn't reach Peel or York. Commuting doesn't mean within the City anymore, but rather commuting GTA wide.
